not connected to server / Server does not recognize

iceshadow - 24-9-2015 at 21:42

I recently reinstalled MIRC and restarted PnP, but every time I start MIRC the following happens in the status window

/_ssplay: not connected to server (line 2615, newtheme.mrc)
/_lock.tb: not connected to server (line 277, window.mrc)
/_ssplay: not connected to server (line 682, gui.mrc)

And then the following appears in any active window continuously.

Server does not recognize 01_SSPLAY command
Server does not recognize 01_UPD.TITLE command
Server does not recognize 01_UPD.TITLE command
Server does not recognize 01_NOTCONNECTED command

1) I assume you have mIRC version 7.43 running? (the latest?) You can check the version in Menu bar > Help > About
2) I assume you have pnp version 4.22.6 running? (the latest?)
You can check this by typing /ver in the command line or by querying line: 718 Script : aliases.mrc - :ver return 4.22.n where n is the latest version number.
3) Let's check whether the error is in your profile folder.
4) Create a new profile: Menu > PnP > Configure > Profiles... > New Profile > (default pnp settings) > Select > Profile name? > test > OK > Set as default > This will RESTART mIRC with this profile- Continue? > OK
5) Are the error still present?

Hi,

I just did a /ver and it reports that I am using ver 4.22.3 which is strange because I have downloaded the latest version.

I've also done the profile check and it's still happening. Though I've also noted that the lines now appear even when I am not connected to irc servers.

It might just be easier to exit mIRC if it's running, rename the mIRC folder to mIRC.old, install a fresh copy of pnp and copy your profile back from mIRC.old!

Exit mIRC if it's running:
1) rename your %appdata%\mIRC directory to %appdata%\mIRC.old
2) create directory %appdata%\mIRC
2) Download version 4.22.6
3) Unzip and copy all folders (addons, script and themes) + txt files and paste into %appdata%\mIRC
4) start mIRC, and type /load -rs script\first.mrc
5) Yes on the initialization commands
6) Menu PnP > Configure > Profiles... > New profile > (import settings from another mirc or pnp) > Manual > locate %appdata%\mIRC.old\CONFIG\default\mirc.ini
(there's two mirc.ini files; either %appdata%\mirc.old\mirc.ini or %appdata%\mirc.old\CONFIG\default\mirc.ini; both seem to work)

7) Let us know how you go!
